About

Hello, my name is Carson! I am an accounting graduate, sports lover, outdoors goer, and finance junkie. I have been trading for nearly 3 years now.

When I first started trading, I always wished for quality education and a mentor to follow. Since trading tends to be a solo experience, I decided to make this website in hope to help others. I hope to have fellow traders learn from my own pitfalls and successes as I am on my trading journey. I have a LONG ways to go, and am no where NEAR perfect. But I love what I do, I work at it every day, and I am constantly looking to improve, which is really all I can ask of myself. Again, thank you for taking the time to read this and visit my website, I greatly appreciate YOU.

Finance background: To start off, I am not a financial advisor. Anything taken from this website should be used along with your own proper research and due diligence. When I was young, I was fascinated by the stock market. I started buying stocks at a young age thanks to the help of my parents. When I turned 18, I opened my Roth IRA account. It happened to be right around the start of the pandemic, and I got some awesome long-term entries on great companies. This got me absolutely hooked on the stock market. Around the fall of 2021, I decided to dedicate my time outside of school and work to learn technical analysis to start day and swing trading.

I did not place any really trades until the spring of 2022. I specifically remeber being at work and placing my first trade on Nvidia or $NVDA. As with most new traders, I struggled in the beginning, a lot! And that is completely ok! Trading is a zero sum game, it is you vs. someone else. It is a very difficult profession. But it is a profession I absolutely love. Fast forward, to the summer of 2023 and I had passed my first proprietary funded account. I began day trading the S&P500 and found some awesome success. However, due to time contraints, I was unable to continue day trading. I set my sights on swing trading, and I have NOT looked back.

From my point of view, using my trading strategy, I can use less time, capture larger moves, and be MORE profitbable swing trading than I would day trading. And that is what I am doing today. I have my own newsletter showcasing the positions I am looking to enter for every coming week in the market. I post on X (Twitter) as well. Come join me as I continue my journey swing trading!

Education background: Heading into college I knew the degree I was going to get; accounting. If it isn’t apparent already, I am a numbers guy. Accounting is the language of business, and harnessing the skill is something I was intrigued by. I recently graduated from graduate school for accounting and am working during the day at an accounting firm. I love both accounting and finance.

Personal background: Without going too in depth, there are about 4 things I do more than anything else. The first is the gym. I grew up as the heavy kid in grade school and did not have a great relationship with my self-confidence. Around 2021, I decided to dedicate myself to being a fit and healthy person. I have accomplished what I set out to do and recently ran my first marathon!

Another thing I really enjoy is spending time outdoors. I live in Minnesota and am able to have fun year round. The summers are filled with Lake days and golf outings. The winters are filled with ice skating and snow skiing. Being outdoors is essential when I am looking at screens all day. The next things I love doing it watching sports. I follow the MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL (only sometimes), and the Premier League. I am a Vikings, Timberwolves, Twins, Wild, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Manchester United fan. Watching sports is something I do daily.

The last thing I do is accounting and finance. I couldn’t NOT include it here! Following the markets does not feel like work to me. I could easily sit down and look at charts all day. In my mind, I am fishing for money! Who doesn’t love doing that?
